Pål Krogdahl is a banking and technology leader with more than 30 years of experience helping banks modernise what matters, without breaking what must not break.

Today, he serves as Chief Technology Officer at Samlink, where he focuses on technology strategy, architecture, and continued modernisation. His work sits at the intersection of engineering reality, regulatory discipline, and decisions that still hold up when strategy changes.

Before joining Samlink, he was CTO for Core Banking & Payments at IBM. In that role, he helped build a global practice and led core transformation and cloud-native banking programmes across Europe, with a strong focus on ecosystem and ISV capabilities.

Outside his day job, he co-founded and co-hosts Fintech Daydreaming, which has been running since 2020. He also writes and speaks about the space between hype and hard constraints, including platform banking, embedded finance, payments, AI, and why modernisation often fails when it starts with the easy parts.
